Danube Spirit in Port Communities

The Art Museum of Constanta, in partnership with the Art Gallery from Ruse of Bulgaria and the “Lower Danube” Museum of Calarasi, are launching the project “Spirit of Danube in Port Communities” (SDPC), financed by the European Fund for Regional Development through the Cross-border Cooperation Program Romania-Bulgaria 2007-2013.
The total elligible project value is € 235,371.05 and is based on the experience and results of the previous project “Spirit of Danube CBC”, implemented between 2008-2009.
The project “Spirit of Danube in Port Communities” between February 12, 2013 – February 11, 2014 and aims to increase the visibility of the common cultural and geographic heritage on the Danube, to forge economic and social ties in the Romanian-Bulgarian border region, an approach that shall raise awareness of the port communities regarding the exploitation of their mutual opportunities and to settle current issues on cross-border level.
The SDPC project launch conference shall take place between May 29 – 30, 2013, 12:00 hours, at the Art Museum of Constanta, to which representatives of the three project partners, press, port and local authorities, academics and artists are invited.
